Its seeming each step I take
the more trouble I make
never staying three steps forward
always taking two steps back
I tried and I tried so hard
looking upward to the sky asking, “why lord?”
It could be so easy to give up and stop
But looking at the life of my Pop
Never looking back with his head held high
looking upward to the sky saying, “thank you lord!”

i had a prof tell make the statement that “man’s ways are not God’s ways.” for us it seems like ‘when it rains it pours.’ fortunately God carries an umbrella and sits with us while it dumps.
